SurgePhone & Torch Wireless
There are approximately 14 million households currently enrolled in ACP of an estimated 48 million households that qualify for assistance. Torch Wireless and SurgePhone specifically target this market by providing underbanked communities with wireless broadband internet access. The companies provide families with a LTE broadband connected tablet free of charge in exchange for enrolling in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP reimburses the companies for the tablet and subsidizes ongoing monthly broadband service.
Torch and SurgePhone operate in all 50 states enrolling families in the ACP.
